LEADERS & VOICES

There is more than one way to build a meaningful life.

Real stories from people who have publicly shared their neurodivergence. Not proof that every person will have the same path—evidence that there are many possible paths.

Inspiration is not evidence. These stories are here to widen the picture of what a life can look like. NeuroCoach does not diagnose public figures or use retrospective speculation about people who never identified themselves.

Autistic

Temple Grandin

Animal scientist, professor, author and autism advocate

Temple Grandin was diagnosed with autism in early childhood, did not speak until age three and a half, and went on to become a professor of animal science, author and internationally recognized advocate. Her work in livestock handling and animal welfare has had broad industry impact.

What we can take from the story: Different ways of thinking can become meaningful strengths when people have access to education, mentors, opportunity and work that fits.

ADHD

Simone Biles

Olympic gymnast and mental-health advocate

Simone Biles has publicly discussed having ADHD and the role of focus in elite gymnastics. When her ADHD medication became public without her consent, she rejected the idea that treatment or diagnosis was something to be ashamed of.

What we can take from the story: A diagnosis does not cancel excellence, and needing treatment or support is not incompatible with extraordinary performance.
