HELP A KIND COMMUNITY TAKE ROOT

Your voice can make
someone feel welcome.

We are inviting early participants, thoughtful contributors and people interested in volunteer moderation. Help shape a place for kindness, practical ideas and connection.

Free participation · Adults 18+ · Public posts reviewed before publication

Choose a contribution that fits your capacity.

PARTICIPATE

Share one honest, useful thing.

Ask a practical question, share a small win or describe an access need. Speak from your own experience. You do not need an inspiring success story.

WELCOME

Make room for another person.

Read a post before replying. Ask whether the person wants ideas or encouragement. A short, respectful response can be enough.

CONTRIBUTE

Bring a resource or a useful question.

Share an official link, public activity or practical organizing idea. Explain who it may help, what you have checked and what still needs checking.

CONVERSATION STARTERS · FROM THE NEUROCOACH TEAM

A first conversation starts with you.

These are team-written invitations, not member posts. Choose a prompt, make it your own and submit it for review. Reading and taking your time count, too.

VOLUNTEER MODERATOR INTEREST

Help keep the welcome thoughtful.

Interested adults can contact the team about volunteer moderation. We welcome interest from neurodivergent adults, parents, caregivers and people with relevant community experience. No diagnosis disclosure is needed.

This is an invitation to discuss an unpaid volunteer role. Responsibilities, time commitment, onboarding and boundaries must be agreed before any role or limited access is granted.

Email about volunteering

Opens an email draft. Or write to info@waymaker.cx with “NeuroCoach community volunteer interest.” Send only a brief introduction; no health records or another person's private story.

What the role would involve

  • Review public submissions against the community rules.
  • Watch for identifying details, harassment, promotion and unsafe treatment instructions.
  • Explain review decisions kindly and flag concerns to the site team.
  • Respect time limits and hand off difficult decisions.

Moderators are not therapists, emergency responders or care coordinators. A volunteer inquiry does not grant access to private Care Plans. Community is not monitored continuously.

How we want to grow this space

  1. Begin with real conversations. Team prompts are clearly labeled, and member posts reflect real contributions.
  2. Make the first contribution easy. A question, a small win or a moment of kindness is enough. Replies and posts stay subject to review.
  3. Learn from early members. Tell us which topics and accessibility improvements would help. Participation should fit different communication styles.
  4. Grow moderation alongside participation. Clarify responsibilities and offer onboarding before adding volunteers or expanding activities.

Keep the groups you already love.

Share a public NeuroCoach guide with a friend or Facebook group when group rules allow. There is no need to move your friendships here. Do not copy private group posts or screenshots without permission.
