Illinois developmental-disability services are administered through the Department of Human Services Division of Developmental Disabilities. PUNS—the Prioritization of Urgency of Need for Services database—is central to tracking unmet need and future service requests.
Important: If someone may need DD-funded services later, learn the PUNS process early and keep information current. PUNS is used for service planning and selection; being on PUNS is not the same as currently receiving a waiver.
