Louisiana's Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD) administers several HCBS waiver pathways, including the New Opportunities Waiver, Residential Options Waiver and Supports Waiver. OCDD eligibility and ICF/IID level-of-care requirements are key parts of waiver access.
Important: Louisiana has multiple OCDD waiver pathways with different service intensity and eligibility. Ask OCDD or the local human-services district which waiver best matches the person's needs rather than assuming New Opportunities is always the correct path.
