New Mexico's Developmental Disabilities Supports Division administers several I/DD HCBS options, including the Developmental Disabilities Waiver, Mi Via self-directed waiver and Supports Waiver. A renewed DD Waiver became effective July 1, 2026.
Important: New Mexico has more than one I/DD HCBS pathway. The DD Waiver, Mi Via and Supports Waiver differ in structure and self-direction. Ask DDSD which pathway and allocation process best matches the person's needs rather than assuming the traditional DD Waiver is the only option.
