Oklahoma Human Services Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) operates Community, Homeward Bound and In-Home Supports waivers. The Community Waiver is designed for people with critical support needs that cannot be met through lower-intensity alternatives.
Important: Oklahoma eliminated its former 13-year backlog and reports the wait for newer applicants at roughly one year, but families still need to keep request-list contact information current. Once contacted and approved, transition onto services can take additional months.
