Rhode Island's BHDDH Division of Developmental Disabilities serves eligible adults with I/DD. Access requires clinical eligibility through the Division plus financial eligibility for Medicaid Long-Term Services and Supports.
Important: Rhode Island adult DD access requires both BHDDH clinical eligibility and Medicaid LTSS financial eligibility. Applications can begin shortly before adulthood, so transition planning should not wait until after school services end.
