South Carolina's developmental-disability Medicaid system uses DDSN/BHDD-OIDD as a single point of entry for the Community Supports and ID/RD waivers, while SCDHHS administers Medicaid. The Community Supports waiver includes respite, employment, in-home support, assistive technology and day/community services.
Important: South Carolina operates multiple HCBS waivers for different populations. Start with DDSN's single point of entry for I/DD-related services. Community Supports and ID/RD have historically had waiting lists, so confirm current status with a case manager rather than relying on an old waitlist assumption.
